FAMILY AND SPORTS TOURISM Blanes
A certified destination for family and sports tourism, this city of 40,000 inhabitants marks the beginning of the Costa Brava. The visitor who goes to Blanes has no problem other than choosing: enjoying its 4 km. of golden sand beaches with blue flag and crystal clear waters, appreciate the cultural heritage of the region and the nearby cities of Barcelona and Girona or travel its natural landscapes through the extensive network of hiking, cycling and mountain biking routes in the area.
The port of Blanes offers all the attractions for lovers of motor sailing and sailing. The Blanes Sailing Club has the best services and facilities, as well as a wide range of all maritime sports. We will help you to hire your kayak or paddle-surf excursion, rent a fishing or recreational boat or have your children take their first sailing lessons.
But it is the Sant Joan mountain, the highest point in Blanes, the place that houses three of the most characterful spaces in the city: on the southern slope its partly preserved historic center and on the sea its dynamic fishing port and the garden Mar y Murtra botanical garden, which claims to be one of the most beautiful in Europe.
Beyond the rock, the forest and the coves dominate the landscape until reaching Lloret de Mar, in a delightful walk dotted with two other gardens: Pinya de Rosa and Santa Clotilde.
